Cloud-based server hosting

All our servers are deployed in South Africa, eliminating potential red-tape under the PoPI Act. All servers utilise fast SSD storage, Intel processors, and MS Windows 2012/2016 Server technology. Powered by KVM virtualisation and using Microsoft TSPlus multi-user access functionality, static IP addresses, Irontree daily incremental data backup, and Panda Security, users can rest assured that they have access to affordable, reliable, cutting edge technology.  This option offers more than adequate storage capacity for your IQ Retail solution and database.

Single vs multi-user access

The cloud server facility is accessible for a single user at a time via remote access, at no additional cost. For multiple user simultaneous access the Windows TSPlus software – the all-in-one solution for remote access and web portal – needs to be installed. This is available with 5 user licenses as a minimum at a once-off cost of R5,250 plus VAT, and is installed on your cloud server.

TSPlus is offered in two options, being:

• TSPlus Printer Edition, enabling the user to print to the local network printer, or
• TSPlus Mobile & Web Edition, offering the same features as the Printer Edition, but allowing access from anywhere in the world via a web browser from a laptop, tablet, or even a smartphone.

Three options to choose from

Three options, based on different specifications and prices of the available server facilities, are shown below. You can upgrade from one level to the next at any point in time without penalty.

As your transaction volumes increase or if additional users need to be added, the server is likely to become slower, and upgrading to the next level would then be recommended.

Our service fee includes a daily incremental back-up procedure based on the Irontree technology, utilising a cloud server facility physically separate from our hosted servers. The back-up capacity is set at 4Gb and can be upgraded to larger capacity at a nominal extra charge each month.

The service fee is payable monthly in advance, i.e. on or before the last day of a month in respect of the following month.
